Vanessa Bates and Ross Mueller have extensive experience in script & story creation, facilitation, mentoring and teaching writers, actors and directors. 
As Pelican Nation, they have a number of television projects in a variety of stages of development including: LOVE.CHAOS.THEORY [8 x 1 hour narrative comedy relationship drama] [Princess Pictures] and THEORY OF STRUCTURES [ 8 x 40 min comedy drama] [Archipelago Productions]  

In 2024 they founded the Australian Writers Theatre. AWT specialises in development of new writing for the stage.
